We are seeking talented individuals to serve as a Research Project Coordinator for the Boston University (BU) Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) Center at the National Coordinating Center for the DIAGNOSE CTE Research Project. The DIAGNOSE CTE Research Project is an NIH-funded, 7-year, multi-center, multidisciplinary, longitudinal clinical research study of CTE. The primary goals of the project are to: develop methods of diagnosing the neurodegenerative disease, CTE, during life, refine and validate diagnostic criteria for the clinical diagnosis of CTE, and investigate genetic and head impact exposure risk factors for CTE. The National Coordinating Center is located within the BU CTE Center at BU School of Medicine. All baseline evaluations (on former NFL players, former collegiate football players, and men with no contact sport or military history) are complete, with follow-up evaluations being conducted remotely.
Organize monthly multi-disciplinary consensus diagnostic meetings with collaborating investigators and study staff, including writing participant cases
Communicate with research participants to collect and disseminate study data, via study results, medical record requests
Develop educational materials and lay summaries of scientific publications for the participants and for website/social media
Assist with preparation and distribution of study materials, including neuropsychological testing materials, participant documents, and blood kits
Assist with management of study databases, including quality assurance checks, data analyses, and manuscript preparation
Bachelor's degree required.
