Wellforce Revenue Cycle Trainer in Boston, Massachusetts

Reporting to the Manager Registration Training and Quality Assurance, the Revenue Cycle Trainer is responsible for operationalizing and maintaining successful education programs for Tufts Medical Center front-end Revenue Cycle Processes of registration, pre-registration and financial clearance. In addition to leading revenue cycle training initiatives, this individual's responsibilities also include monitoring quality and performance metrics, keeping the Manager apprised of results, and using data to identify and develop targeted opportunities for staff development in all areas of the health system's front-end revenue cycle.

Responsibilities: Implements an orientation program for all new staff with registration, pre-registration or financial clearance functions.
Uses a competency based program to onboard new staff. Provides both classroom and hands-on training for staff.
Performs systematic follow-up procedures with all orientees. Documents orientation assessment to ensure staff are ready to work independently in their host department or practice. In collaboration with Revenue Cycle Leadership, creates and updates training materials tailored towards successfully onboarding new staff and enhancing the practice of current staff. Participates in the planning, implementation, evaluation and revision of an organization-wide training calendar, to drive staff efficiency. Seeks provider and business leadership feedback in the creation and implementation of the ongoing training program. Educates staff to new health care technologies, changes in policies and procedures, and evaluates the effectiveness of such innovations.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in health care or business, or equivalent work experience is required. Minimum two years' experience in patient access functions or training programs. Excellent computer skills required. Proficient in clinical and business systems used throughout Tufts including SMS Invision, IDX, Epremise, ECW, Lawson and Kronos and similar software portals. Excellent oral and written communications skills required to develop and conduct educational programs, presentations, communicate with interdisciplinary teams and practice leadership. Recognized as a key advisor on all application and training issues (including practice and system needs). Possesses and demonstrates project management techniques to drive system enhancement and end user adoption. Excellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize. Excellent interpersonal skills needed to recognize, assess, and diplomatically resolve various conflicts that may arise is required. Strong team builder among clinical, administrative and leadership staff to support cross-functional work groups.
