Duties involve the management, supervision, or performance of work in:
Recommending, evaluating, maintaining, and/or operating systems, policies, devices, procedures, and methods used for safeguarding information, property, personnel, operations, and materials. Recommending and implementing policies and procedures for analyzing and evaluating the character, background, and history of employees, candidates for employment, and other persons having or proposed to be granted access to classified or other sensitive information, materials, or work sites.
The Security Management III shall provide security support to the HN Directorate’s controlled facilities to include, but not limited to: Exercising delegated access control to secure areas. Assisting in opening and closing controlled areas. Assisting in arming and disarming facility alarm systems as required. Assisting in accomplishing end-of-duty day security checks. In support of those programs with stringent security requirements, personnel shall be knowledgeable of DoD security procedures, to include classified transmission, protection of incoming mail, courier requirements, security incident reporting, and security violation sanctions.
Escorting personnel, visitors, and other parties as needed to complete work duties, subject to local security office or organizational policies.
NOTE: These duties may occur independently with government coordination.
Minimum Recommended Education/Experience Requirements:
Advanced degree (MA/MS) and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, of which 5 years must be in the DoD, or a BA/BS degree and 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, of which 5 year must be in the DoD, or 20 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the Functionally Aligned Job Descriptions, of which 8 year must be in the DoD.

Must have a Top Secret clearance
Possesses the advanced knowledge, experience and recognized ability to be considered an expert in their technical/professional field, possess the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and mid-level personnel within the technical/professional discipline. Will demonstrate advanced knowledge of their technical/professional discipline as well as possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures and practices in their area of expertise (Program Office, Enterprise and Staff Level Support interface).
