Job Description:

The Analytics and Information Strategy (AIS) team is part of the Enterprise Credit organization. The primary focus of the AIS team is to produce and communicate high-quality, fit-for-use, and concise data and information related to Global Banking and Enterprise Credit. This team is responsible for defining and enhancing Enterprise Credit data processes, including platforms, reporting, governance, data management and data remediation. This Senior Data Scientist role supports the AIS Data Initiative and Strategy (DIS) team with a focus on leadership of the Model Data Development and Climate Change workstream.

The Senior Data Scientist will oversee and participate in impact assessments and data analysis, lead data remediation efforts, drive prioritization and reporting of data quality issues, and engage with business and technical stakeholders. The scope of work includes defining how data is managed and sourced across multiple upstream lines of business and within the Enterprise Credit data infrastructure.

Responsibilities include supporting adherence to enterprise data quality standards, as well as, identification of capture, transport and data use issues. Additional responsibilities include defining value-added analytics and solutions that support revenue generation, risk management, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, portfolio management, and research. Interaction and direction of supporting Technology teams will be expected. Knowledge of Enterprise Credit processes, organizations, data and systems is required. Traditional systems analysis skills are a plus.

• Data management experience (data quality, metadata management, governance, etc.) • Highly organized; able to effectively prioritize and balance multiple efforts in a fast-paced, regulatory driven environment • Experience with credit-related processes and systems including the distribution/use of credit data for analytics, modeling, and reporting • Highly motivated, proactive and a self-starter; strong sense of ownership & ability to create and execute plans without daily oversight • Experience interacting with very sophisticated senior business users and quantitative modelers • Critical thinker; ability to analyze problems and identify both tactical and strategic solutions to address • 10+ years of extensive data analysis experience with advanced SQL skills • Strong Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, etc.) experience • Strong understanding of data relationships • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Developing an executive presence • General knowledge of bank financial practices and policies

Desired Skills: • Degree in business, computer science or related discipline • In-depth experience with Wholesale Credit products and functions; familiarity with Wholesale Credit policies and procedures • Familiarity with Wholesale Credit systems • Project management and/or process design experience • Knowledge of python/pandas, R, Alteryx, Trifacts or other data preparation environment a plus
