The Opportunity
Procter & Gamble is seeking an experienced Senior Equipment Design & Delivery Engineer to join our Grooming Manufacturing team in Boston, MA. In this role, you will get to work on the forefront of some top manufacturing technologies and processes, developing the processes and machines for tomorrow, while supporting the leading product line in the consumer goods market for shave care. You will be defining, designing, and delivering the equipment that P&G needs to make our grooming products globally.
Position Responsibilities
Work across all product tiers as part of a multi-functional team to develop and deliver processes and equipment critical to the Grooming business.
Responsible for developing manufacturing processes and equipment to produce and improve blades by working within established product and equipment platforms as well as developing the next generation of blade making technologies.
Lead and/or delegate executional deliverables in project feasibility, equipment specification and selection, fabrication/assembly/construction, process development, and startup across several different technologies.
In partnership with the R&D process and front-end innovation organizations you will deliver the global initiative masterplan and product destination visions. This work will range from proof-of-principle testing, to detailed machine design, to fabrication and startup.
Collaborate with both internal and external business partners - Gillette has in-house machine design and build capability for core/proprietary technologies.
Reviewing the work of others throughout the organization, relevant to the assigned projects.

Job Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s in Engineering, or relevant related field, with 5+ years of demonstrated technical engineering and creative design skills
Possess knowledge of high-volume manufacturing technologies and assembly techniques.
Experience with, or willingness to learn, machine design, use of 3D parametric solid modeling CAD, and use of CAE tools for static and dynamic analysis of machine components.
Knowledge and ability to use PLCM tools such as Siemens Teamcenter is required.
Can read and interpret engineering drawings (including GD&T and ISO Fits and Tolerances) including ability to properly prescribe GD&T on engineering drawings and check and provide feedback to both vendors and team members is required.
Engineering and design skills including the ability to specify appropriate machine commercial components (motors, gearboxes, couplings, bearings, drive belts, pneumatic actuators, etc.) for mechanical and servo driven systems.
Can generate "clean sheet" ideas and concepts for manufacturing processes based on new ideas or re-application of current technologies applied/combined in new and novel ways.
Thrives on change and continuous improvement, but also understands the value of standardization and platform management and can make decisions managing the balance.
Possesses knowledge in the Engineering Work Process (EWP) Phases, tools and CBA’s.
Able to work onsite at Boston, MA office 3 days per week
This position may include 5-20% annual travel, domestic and international
Preferred:
Experience in assembled products (converting and/or packaging), manufacturing and/or start-up in a production facility.
Experience with machine design in a cGMP-Protected/cosmetic environment.
Siemens NX and SolidWorks skills
Pay Range: $105K-150K
