Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Associate (Valuations) in the Financial Services industry, based in the Back Bay of Boston, Massachusetts. The role involves analyzing and evaluating the financial status of various companies across different sectors, as well as monitoring and reporting on their performance.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular valuation analyses of companies and their securities across an array of industries, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative data gathered

• Monitor the performance of underlying portfolio companies, including the analysis and interpretation of financial data

• Communicate relevant trends and performance drivers, as well as report on portfolio company credit metrics

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Deal Team, Finance/Operations Team, Trading Desk, Credit Rating Agencies, and external valuation consultants

• Research and identify guideline company comparables through the use of public market data

• Synthesize data to support, challenge, and reconcile conclusions, including back testing and stress testing

• Propose enhancements and updates to procedures, processes, and methodologies in line with best practices

• Assist with external audit requests

• Utilize skills in CapEx, CRM, Data Mining Techniques, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, About Time, Accounting Functions, Budget Processes, Expense Reporting, Finance, Valuations.

Requirements

KEYS:

• 2+ yrs - Big4 or PE/IB/Advisory - Valuations exposure

• CFA or progress towards charter is a plus

• Experience utilizing valuation techniques and methodologies (Discounted Cash Flows, Market Comparables, etc.) within a private equity, investment banking, valuation research, or consulting firm. Preference for prior Credit/Direct Lending experience.
