Senior Full Stack Engineer(Remote - US)
As part of our Data Solutions team, the Senior Software Engineer is the core technologist with a broad skill set that brings enhanced value to product development, and responsible for building key components for Change Healthcare Data Science as a Service (DSaaS) platform, which enables customers to generate timely, high powered insights. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures in AWS ecosystem. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
What will I be responsible for in this job? (brief summary of the role) The ideal candidate will have a background in AWS ecosystem, have experience working with large data sets, and have experience in Full stack development and strong understanding of micro-service development and CI/CD to join our Agile team
What are the requirements?
Full stack software engineers are responsible for the development of our solution set with a commitment to deliver high quality code to production throughout the SDLC.
Plans, designs, develops, and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools.
Apply professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
Take on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Exercise sound judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Participate in and in some cases lead cross functional networking and collaborate.
Determine methods and procedures on new assignments, may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead).
Actively participates in code reviews to ensure established coding standards are met and quality code is being delivered to production.
Work closely with product management, quality assurance, and product architects to deliver solutions that best meet our customer’s needs.
Other tasks include analysis of upcoming projects with a focus on backlog grooming and story estimation to ensure an accurate representation of work to be completed with accurate estimations
Master's degree in Computer Sciences, or Mathematics OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, or Mathematics +6 years of equivalent work experience
What critical skills are needed for you to consider someone for this position?
5+ years of full stack development experience –. Node, Java or Python preferred
Proficient with micro-service architecture development
Experience in developing RESTful APIs
AWS Cloud technology experience
Understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
This individual must have strong knowledge data, analytics & workflows, excellent problem-solving & project management capabilities, and a proven ability to design & drive micro-services.
Excellent critical thinking, verbal and written communications skills
Knowledge of common data structures and experience with large datasets
Proficient with database technologies, relational or NoSQL
Knowledge and experience in the healthcare industry is a plus
