Perform analysis of markets, competitors, products and customers that deliver strategic insights to increase competitive advantage for the entire PSG group. The incumbent provides analysis, often under tight timelines, to improve decision making, drive revenue, and increase profitability. She/he will help internal clients to make sound decisions based on solid analysis of internal and external data and provide insight regarding interpretation of data and trends (explain the 'what' and 'why' of data results). Requires high level of independence, while working with SBI Team to support Strategy, Marketing, Sales and Operations as well as other Business Functions as needed (Corporate Development & Executive Leadership). and other Thermo Fisher Advanced Therapeutics groups

Key Responsibilities:

Lead point of contact for Market/Competitor/Customer analysis for Cell & Gene Therapy, Biologics and Viral Vector Services Business Units Integral Team member for annual STRAP for Advanced Therapeutics Bus as well as Group strategy, providing Market Intelligence, competitive dynamics and strategic insights. Independently prepare regular competitive and market updates for presentation to Senior Management Proven communication skills and ability to influence colleagues and customers Supervise the creation of analytical dashboards to support the Business Units utilizing tools such as Power BI and train others on this tool. Participate in cross-divisional initiatives to support synergies and new business opportunities Support Corporate Development opportunities including target identification and due diligence. Analyze market dynamics and trends in the CDMO space, determine implications for Thermo Fisher and present to senior management Participate in the design of primary intelligence and market research projects applicable to Biologics and adjacent business areas. Prepare site portfolio reviews, including independent forecasts, for high value projects at PSG sites to determine market factors impacting customer manufacturing forecasts Provide targeting lists for Account Executives based on territory, molecule type, dosage form to increase PSG sales. Conduct competitor analyses across all segments of the contract development and manufacturing industry (API, Biologics, CTD and Pharmaceutical Development & Finished dose), including Trade Show Intelligence

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

PhD strongly preferred (Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or related preferred) or MS/MBA with 10+ years' experience working in a pharmaceutical/biotech/consulting/CMO firm with work experience in Competitive Intelligence/Business Intelligence/Analytical disciplines.

  • Experience with quantitative Pharmaceutical related databases (IMS, EvaluatePharma)

  • Prior experience with forecasting

  • Expert skills in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong influencing skills and comfort expressing a point of view.

  • Team player with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under tight time constraints and within strict confidentiality guidelines.

  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills suitable for presentations to senior company management

  • Ability to travel domestically up to 15% of time
