Microsoft Corporation Senior Program Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

The 1ES Security Tooling team protects Microsoft customers and enhances the productivity of over 50,000 Microsoft engineers by integrating automated security analysis and alerting into the 1ES DevOps engineering system that Microsoft developers use every day. Linux is an important and growing part of Microsoft. As part of the 1ES Security Tooling team you'll help to ensure that Microsoft teams developing for Linux have the tools to build safe and trustworthy solutions. This role provides an opportunity to:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Microsoft to design new security tools, and improvements to existing tools like Component Governance, to better address Linux and container risks

  • Use both qualitative and quantitative analysis to identify and resolve top developer security pain points around Linux and containers

  • Join a dynamic team dedicated to helping Microsoft - and the world - truly realize the benefits of Linux.


Required qualifications:

  • 3+ years Program Management experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience designing or developing software for Linux

  • Experience using Docker and/or Kubernetes

  • Experience with open source software, ideally as a contributor as well as a consumer

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or related fields

  • Excellent understanding of and experience in engineering systems

  • Experience with Azure Data Explorer (Kusto) or other telemetry analysis solutions

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
