IHS Markit Senior Sales Executive, Economics & Country Risk in Boston, Massachusetts
We are looking for a senior sales professional that will proactively identify, qualify and close new opportunities on behalf of the Economics and Country Risk business. This role requires experience selling to a diversified set of Fortune 1000 corporations and a strong background in selling research, information and consultative solutions. Successful professionals in this role must efficiently and effectively navigate industry bureaucracies, identify inherent challenges and position the benefits of the IHS Markit suite of solutions to the unique persona profiles. This role will be accountable for comprehensive account penetration, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with decision makers within the customer’s organization.
We’re looking for someone that can:
Promote IHS Markit and ECR solutions to senior executives
Quickly develop a strong understanding of the value proposition for ECR solutions as they relate to the end market
Inform and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to ensure they meet/exceed quota
Consistently deliver accurate new business forecasts
Provide an accurate view of territory development, using Salesforce as the primary tool for client interaction tracking and pipeline reporting
Partner with colleagues in Marketing, Product Management, Research & Analysis and Sales Operations to effectively support and strengthen your own sales initiatives
7-10 years of proven sales experience hunting new business
Proven excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build effective internal and external relationships
Experience within selling information (research, data, consulting services)
Solid presentation and proposal writing skills
Bachelor’s degree minimum
