Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and modify web services software using standard frameworks and programming languages including Node.js, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and C#

  • Analyze user needs and develop customized software solutions. Build services targeted at making building design data available to other services as part of an agile development team

  • Define and create back-end core services that ensure the data of building design professionals is secure, durable, and always available, by leveraging the latest tools and techniques for building services hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS)

  • Leverage prior work experience developing applications and services for the AEC industry to guide discussions with Product Management, Product Design, Quality Assurance (QA), and other developers to ensure the functional requirements meets the needs of our customers

  • Work across internal groups within the division, as well as external partners and customers, on the evaluation, assessment and prototyping of new technologies

  • Work with individuals and groups within the division to achieve common goals, and help other team members understand the software architecture, development guideline, and process

  • Embrace, contribute to and provide requirements for Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) activities on Autodesk s Quantum platform

  • Proactively and continuously evaluate and address issues related to performance, stability, scalability, and extensibility of the systems

  • Document system and application architectures

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree (Computer Science, Engineering, or related field)

  • You have 7 years of software engineering-related experience

  • You have 7 years of experience in each of the following skills:

  • Optimizing and integrating the DOE-2 freeware simulation engine into a commercially available application, including critical bug fixing to make analysis results more accurate, removing geometry limitations to extend the ability to analyze large building models, and compiling the engine to a 64-bit version to significantly improve performance

  • Designing and architecting core algorithms for software platforms and their integral components

  • Building highly scalable, N-tier web server architectures using AWS technologies such as EC2, ELB, and EBS

  • Relational database management system (RDBMS) and NoSQL database technologies

  • Writing RESTful services using C# programming language

  • Building high quality software using unit testing tools and designing for testability

  • Modern CI/CD practicesfrom Software Configuration Management (SCM) using Gitto automated testing and hands-free deployment techniques

  • Developing and releasing Web-based software development using HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and common frameworks such as bootstrap, jQuery, Reactjs and Vuejs

  • You have 5 years of experience in each of the following skills:

  • Software development on Linux operating system with skills of porting existing system to Linux and building cross-platform applications using C or .NET Core
