This role will work within our Corporate Finance department and assist with accounting and financial reporting for the Company. Primary functions include but are not limited to, producing daily and monthly financial reports for Cash, Accounts Receivable, and other balance sheet accounts as needed. This position will be an integral member of the department and provide support during the month end close process by performing detailed analysis and reconciliations for various general ledger accounts, including research and documentation of budget variances for general and administrative expenses.
Record and reconcile bank activity for specific cash accounts, along with daily reporting on cash balances and receipts
Research and respond to cash receipt related inquiries from project teams
Produce weekly and monthly A/R aging reports for distribution
Reconcile contract notes, receivables, and other accounts as needed
Assist in month end close process by preparing various account reconciliations, including cash, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and deposits\
Prepare and record monthly recurring and as needed entries to the general ledger
Meet with department business partners to review G&A costs and compare actual costs to budgeted costs to prepare variance reports for management
B.A. in accounting required
Minimum of 5 years of experience with the general ledger
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principals
Experience in construction or related field is a plus
Must have strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize a varying degree of tasks
Strong analytical and organization skills with the ability to understand the demands of a growing business
Have the ability to work independently and feel comfortable juggling various tasks with multiple deadlines
Must possess a proactive work ethic and be a self-starter who has the ability to seek out needed information and collaborate effectively
Intelligent, agile, and diligent individual
Professional and collaborative communication skills
Strong excel skills a must
Familiarity with CMiC, Textura, or Concur is helpful, but not required.
Experience in public accounting (CPA) preferred, but not required.
