WSP is currently initiating a search for a full-time Senior Structural Engineer for our New England district. The role may report to a local office in Boston/Worcester, MA, Merrimack, NH, Elliot, ME, Providence, RI or Glastonbury, CT.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead Bridge Design tasks as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Preparation of contract drawings, estimates and specifications

  • Preparation of design calculations for medium and long span bridge replacement projects.

  • Perform complex structural analysis

  • Perform load rating analysis and evaluation of existing structures for repairs/retrofits.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Civil Engineering

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience on bridge transportation projects.

  • BS degree in Civil Engineering

  • Licensed Professional Engineer

  • Proficiency with pertinent New England Agency standards, specifications and procedures.

  • Proficiency with structural analysis software

  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures

  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Structural Engineering

  • Active in Professional Societies

  • BIM and CADD software capabilities

  • Working knowledge of AASHTOWare BrR load rating software
