Humana Senior TBM Analyst in Boston, Massachusetts

As a Senior Technology Business Management Analyst (aka Senior Business Intelligence Engineer), you will be essential in driving technology cost transparency and accountability within the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to configure and maintain the Technology Business

Management (TBM) cost and data model using Apptio. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, gather, and analyze financial and technology data, and ensure efficient data governance. This role bridges the gap between technology and finance and will work with those business and technology stakeholders to promote a culture of cost accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain the TBM cost and data model in Apptio.

  • Configure, test, and document Apptio and Cloudability dashboards and reports to meet functional specifications.

  • Load, transform, and rationalize data from systems of record (e.g., General Ledger, Resource Management, Asset Manager, CMDB) into the Apptio interface.

  • Collaborate with IT Leadership, Finance, Engineering, and Portfolio Owner

  • Enable data-driven decisions by providing insights into IT Total Cost of Ownership and financial metrics.

  • Identify business process improvement opportunities.

  • Propose solutions, engage stakeholders, and revise procedures to reflect changes.

  • Drive best practices and governance related to Data Management, ITFM, TBM, TCO, and FinOps.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years TBM experience with Apptio

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., TBM, FinOps, or ITIL) are advantageous.

Preferred Skills / Experience

  • Advanced knowledge of Apptio configuration and data modeling.

  • Familiarity with Cloud Service Provider (Microsoft, AWS, GCP, Oracle, etc.) billing, cost, and utilization data and Cloudability for cloud cost management.

  • Advanced analytical and big data analysis skills

  • Experience with designing and developing dashboards and reports in Apptio and other reporting tools like Power BI

  • Understanding of IT infrastructure domains including data centers, network/ communications, server utilization, virtual environments, storage, and application development

  • Knowledge of IT services and IT financial management processes and best practices such as budgeting, cost allocations, capital & operating expense handling, program portfolio management, and application/infrastructure support

  • Ability to present financial information, business cases, and change recommendations.

  • Experience with cost optimization strategies.

  • Effective communication skills to engage stakeholders and present findings.

  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively with multiple levels of management and staff across the organization.

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills - capable of motivating and managing organizations or teams to deliver desired results.

  • Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$78,800 - $108,500 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
