Come join a new fast-growing team within Tableau whose mission is to build a new marketplace to engage with and grow the Tableau ecosystem. The team will be operating in a near greenfield of tech, optimizing for learning and agility, as we build out the early stages of a new product.

As a team member you would be working in a cross-functional environment and collaborating with our UX/Design and PM team. Our team uses experimentation and constant customer feedback to ensure we are building what our customers want.

In general we are looking for help with: building a delightful front-end experience, supporting backend microservices, and leveraging cloud based infrastructure. We need people well-versed in a variety of technologies and languages as we need to be flexible in this early phase. We seek someone who has a passion for solving complex problems with scalability, security and robustness in mind.

We are open to Fully Remote, Flex (1-3 days/week in the office), or Office-Based (4-5 days/week in office)

Who You Are ...

  • Experienced. You have 5+ years of relevant professional experience. You love writing software that "just works" - software that is robust, secure, maintainable, and that performs well. You understand tradeoffs and take a disciplined approach to what you build.

  • Technical. You are well versed in a variety of technologies and know how to use the right tool for the job. You understand traditional architectures, but also understand and have worked with Microservices architecture. You recognize the pros and cons of each and how to strike the right balance. Our current tech stack consists of: React, NodeJS, AWS with a bit of C++ for integration work. Strong JavaScript skills go a long way on our team.

  • Passionate. You have a passion for solving interesting real customer problems.

  • Engineering Excellence. Your personal software practices ensure you deliver high quality even under pressure. You believe in automation and writing tests for your own code as a way of maintaining high quality in your products. You think far enough ahead to avoid tech debt, but know when it's best to experiment and avoid over-engineering.

  • True Team Player. You enjoy collaborating with, learning from, and teaching others (including across disciplines) so we all become better.

  • Motivated. You do good work, and lots of it… the drive to deliver is a part of you. You focus on getting your best work done and understand the value of "show don't tell".
