Duties & Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service to all customers.

• Fields incoming help requests from end users via a variety of intakes (phone, email, etc.)

• Documents all pertinent end user identification information, including name, department, contact information, and nature of request or incident.

• Records, tracks, and documents the Incidents and requests in the ticketing tool. Ensure all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution have been captured in the ticket.

• Accesses software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on the Internet to aid in problem resolution.

• Performs hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications.

• Performs preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of workstations, printers, and peripherals.

• Evaluates documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problems.

• Identifies and escalates critical incidents.

• Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages.

Qualifications:

• Must be located in/near Boston, MA

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.

• Strong documentation skills.

• Ability to absorb and retain information quickly.

• Experience supporting VOIP telecom devices.

• In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, Azure & Intune.

• Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.

• Highly self-motivated and directed and attention to detail.

• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

• IT Support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft’s core business applications and operating systems.

• Support of disaster recovery solutions.

• Basic remote access solution implementation and support: VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix

Education:

HS Diploma or equivalent required

Experience:

Relative work experience (1 – 2 years)

Certification:

COMP TIA A+ preferred

Some travel to the office or elsewhere may be required for team meetings, client meetings, etc.

We are accepting applications on an ongoing basis until filled. As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $44,000-58,000

Compensation:

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role below. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.
