SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEER
BOSTON, MA
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team. In this role, you will ensure that our applications are highly available, reliable, and performant while working in a
dynamic environment leveraging cloud technologies. Your expertise in CI/CD, site monitoring, and reliability engineering will be critical in minimizing downtime, maximizing performance, and
supporting smooth operations across development, testing, and production environments.
Responsibilities
Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of supported application services through proactive monitoring and alerting.
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and enhance development workflows.
Troubleshoot and mitigate service availability and performance issues in a large-scale, distributed environment.
Develop and maintain automation solutions, SRE dashboards, and monitoring tools to enhance observability and ensure reliability.
Identify repetitive, manual, and scalable tasks and automate them using scripting or programming languages.
Collaborate with development teams to improve system operability and ensure applications are optimized for production.
Provide technical support and resolution for complex system issues involving application services and third-party integrations.
Facilitate deployments and manage application lifecycles in both data center and AWS environments.
Design and implement solutions using best practices for large-scale web operations, ensuring system scalability and reliability.
Participate in new application and infrastructure design discussions to advocate for operability and reliability standards.
Serve as a technical resource, providing subject matter expertise on tools, technologies, and operational practices.
Assist development teams in understanding the operational aspects of applications and systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Back-End Development : Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot required.
Front-End Development : Familiarity with Angular is a plus.
Cloud Expertise : Strong experience with AWS, including:
AWS Lambda
SNS/SQS
S3
EC2
CloudWatch
Secrets Manager
Containerization : Proficiency in Docker for containerized deployments.
Scripting and Automation : Hands-on experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
SQL and NoSQL databases
CI/CD : Expertise in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
Monitoring and Observability : Proficiency with tools and frameworks for site monitoring and alerting.
Strong understanding of best practices for reliability engineering in a large-scale environment.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Flexibility to participate in on-call rotations and address incident escalations.
