Social Media Specialist

As a joint Human Resources and E-Commerce team member, the Social Media Specialist will manage day-to-day paid and organic social media operations and strategy, including campaign planning and execution, content development, publishing calendar, performance analysis, and reporting. This digital-savvy marketer will also support general advertising initiatives, PR campaigns, recruiting campaigns, and hotel social media channels.

Position Description

  • In collaboration with HR and E-Commerce teams, design, execute, and manage innovative media marketing campaigns that differentiate Pyramid Global Hospitality in the social recruiting channel and drive qualified applications

  • Collaborate with the E-commerce team to develop engaging paid and organic social campaign content as determined by brand and hotel needs

  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to prepare and publish recruitment marketing content and collateral

  • Plan, execute, and manage day-to-day organic social media publishing, channel strategy, and timely community messaging (social channels can include but are not limited to: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube)

  • Support all types of recruiting activity, including college recruiting and marketing collateral

  • Maintain an engaging organic social posting calendar featuring original content, community stories, and more.

  • Manage organic social publishing, tracking, and analytics.

  • Keep current with social media management standards, trends, policies, and best practices.

  • Support budget management and invoice processing

  • Be responsible for other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ years of digital marketing experience with a focus on paid and organic social media strategy, content creation, and management and/or relevant education/experience is required

  • Sound knowledge and experience with all relevant social media platforms required, including but not limited to: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube, is a must

Additional Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience with social media publishing tools and Google Analytics preferred

  • Strong communication and project management skills are a must

  • Must be a highly organized team player and have demonstrated initiative to improve marketing performance, use innovative marketing strategies, and collaborate across departments to improve business results.

  • Past hospitality industry experience a plus

  • BA/BS degree preferred

Additional Information:

Ideally, this position would be working in our corporate office in Boston. Remote work environment may be an option, with an occasional onsite attendance at one of our offices. Specific days and schedules will be determined between you and your manager.
