Job Description
The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team builds and manages a suite of massive scale integrated cloud services in a broadly distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment. OCI is committed to providing the best in cloud products that meet the needs of our customers who are tackling some of the world’s biggest challenges.
The Observability organization of OCI is on a continued mission of delivering a world-class integrated Observability and Management platform for our customers, that can work seamlessly across OCI, other clouds, and on-premises to provide a uniform view. Our integrated Observability and Management platform combines Logging, Monitoring, Auditing, SIEM, Events, Inventory, and other services. We will continue to innovate on each of these services to make them feature-rich world-class services on their own and integrate them seamlessly to provide meaningful insights into your resources and data! The OCI Monitoring services enable customers to actively and passively monitor their cloud resources using the Metrics and Alarms features.

Responsibilities
Design and develop cloud based systems with high degree of scalability, reliability and availability.
Extensive collaboration with research and engineering teams to deliver complex large-scale projects
Show initiative and enthusiasm in tackling challenging problems with innovative designs
Top-tier, hands-on engineer who can design and drive engineering efforts end to end(including development, test infrastructure, operational excellence and release)
Resolve complex technical issues and make design decisions to meet the critical requirements of this multi-OS/multi-platform scalable, highly available, secure multi-tenant enablement of services in cloud.
Work closely with all the team members including the other technical leads, director, engineering manager, architects, product, and program managers to deliver product features on time and with high quality.
Mentor and guide junior members in the team on the technological front.
3+ years of experience in software design, development and operation of large scale distributed systems
Solid programming skills in Java or C#/C++, and experience with scripting languages such as Python
Experience in designing, implementing, and managing high scalable/available/reliable distributed service/system
Experience with relational and non-relational (NoSQL) databases
Effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
Advanced critical thinking and problem solving abilities
BS or MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience

US: Hiring Range: from $62,100 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
