Oracle Software Developer 4 in Boston, Massachusetts
Job Description
Oracle Database Security Development Group is the core security group in Oracle. The team developed a variety of core security products in Oracle Database Kernel.
Oracle Databases hold the majority of the world’s relational data and are attractive targets for attackers seeking high-value targets for data theft. Compromise of a single Oracle Database can result in tens of millions of breached records costing millions in breach-mitigation activity. Safeguard your most valuable data with Oracle’s powerful preventive and detective security controls, including transparent data encryption (https://www.oracle.com/database/advanced-security/index.html) , encryption key management (https://www.oracle.com/database/security/key-vault/index.html) , privileged user and multifactor access control (https://www.oracle.com/database/database-vault/index.html) , data classification and discovery (https://www.oracle.com/database/data-masking-subsetting/index.html) , database activity monitoring and blocking (https://www.oracle.com/database/security/audit-vault-database-firewall/index.html) , consolidated auditing and reporting (https://www.oracle.com/database/security/audit-vault-database-firewall/index.html) , and data masking (https://www.oracle.com/database/data-masking-subsetting/index.html) . With Oracle, you can deploy reliable data-security solutions that require no changes to existing applications, saving time and money.
Authenticating user identity is imperative in distributed environments. Passwords are the most common means of authentication. Oracle Database also enables strong authentication with Oracle authentication adapters that support various third-party authentication services, including SSL with digital certificates, Kerberos, OCI-IAM, OAuth2 with Azure AD.
We provide multi-cloud support for authentication in Oracle Cloud Database. Currently we support using OCI-IAM identity authenticate into Oracle Autonomous Database (ADB) directly and provides Single Sign On capability in OCI cloud across services along with natively in ADB. We also support Azure AD OAuth2 authentication integration with Oracle ADB and allow customers to use Azure AD identities directly authenticate into ADB. These products removed the barrier for customer from Azure AD log into Oracle Cloud ADB natively. We provide OAuth2 support which will allow more customers from other public Clouds to leverage the full power of Oracle Cloud Autonomous Databases. Our products are expanding to multi-cloud including Google cloud, AWS as well.
