Description A client of Robert Half has a new job opening for a Software Developer. This position requires the chosen candidate to be responsible for implementing new features, maintaining existing code, and refactoring existing code across a breadth of products used both internally and externally at the company. This long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity is based in the Boston, Massachusetts area.

Major responsibilities

• Fix and offer production support

• Provide clear and consistent communication around solutions and time estimate to client-facing program management teams

• Habitually execute code-review and work together with other developers

• Unite with Scrum team to furnish accurate work estimates

• We're looking for someone who can maintain and develop new features to internal and external facing software to enhance the customer experience and resolve issues on various operating systems Requirements - Less than one year of experience preferred

  • It is preferred for applicants to have experience with at least one framework/library, e.g. Vue.js, Polymer, Angular.js, React.js, Ractive.js, Knockout.js, Ember.js, Bootstrap, etc.

• Solid understanding of Python

• Expertise in Create Dashboards

  • You might be a good fit for this position if you are familiar with Scrum

  • If you have knowledge of education standards such as QTI/APIP, SIF, AIF, you will be strongly preferred

  • This position requires familiarity with full-stack development (front-end, to middle/application tier, to database)

  • It is preferred for applicants to have the ability to write clean, standardized code that performs optimally in highly concurrent environments

  • This position will be the best fit for a candidate with experience with software development life cycles, e.g. Agile, Big Bang, Spiral, Waterfall, etc.
