Robert Half Software Developer in Boston, Massachusetts

Description We are seeking a Software Developer to join our team based in Boston, Massachusetts. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing software applications, as well as identifying areas for modification in existing programs. The position offers a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage software applications

• Identify areas for modification in existing programs and develop these modifications

• Test and evaluate new applications and tools

• Troubleshoot and debug issues within applications

• Integrate applications between various in-house and SaaS tools

• Write and implement efficient code

• Determine operational practicality of software applications

• Develop quality assurance procedures

• Deploy software tools, processes, and metrics

• Maintain and upgrade existing systems

• Train users on new software systems and updates

• Collaborate with fellow developers. Requirements • Proven experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer or similar role for a minimum of 5 years

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

• Knowledge of coding languages (e.g. C++, Java, JavaScript) and frameworks/systems (e.g. AngularJS, Git)

• Experience with databases and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks (e.g. Hibernate)

• Ability to learn new languages and technologies

• Excellent communication skills

• Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude

• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

• Proficiency in ASP.NET

• Experience with ASP.NET MVC Framework

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Windows Azure

• Knowledge of .NET Core

• Experience with MS SQL Server

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail

• Organizational skills and the ability to multitask

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines

• Proficiency in technical writing
