The Digital Orthopedic Surgery team is making robotics and digital tools available to surgical teams to increase the performance, accuracy, and safety of a wide range of surgical procedures.

You will be part of an Agile team of software and product development professionals creating software for digital surgery products. You will build on our existing architecture and technologies to bring new features to software products such as robotic-assisted medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with software engineers, verification engineers, human factor engineers, dev ops and quality professionals, to implement new / update existing software modules to meet customer requirements.

  • Participate in peer code reviews and write unit tests

  • Craft and update design documentation and associated test software used to verify subsystems and software products.

  • Work closely with engineers in other development teams to coordinate achievements to planned software releases.


  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required. A major in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or similar is preferred.

  • Proven experience of software development for complex technical products is required.

  • Previous experience developing medical devices in the US is preferred.

  • Excellent programming skills in C++ and solid understanding of associated development tools is required.

  • Knowledge of an additional programming language like C#, or scripting languages and tools such as Perl or Python is a plus.

  • Good knowledge and experience using Qt to develop user interfaces is required.

  • Demonstrated adherence to regulated procedures for creating safety critical software including the technical design, unit test, and code review documentation is required.

  • Excellent communication skills to operate in an international environment.


  • This position is located in Boston, MA

  • This position may require up to 10% domestic and international travel.
