This position is for an experienced Software Engineering Manager who has passion for creating great products. The products we are creating will help Ford increase its ability to reach consumers via eCommerce. This EM will become part of a team of EMs each managing separate products within the eCommerce platform. The development team is also collocated to facilitate more effective collaboration and communication. This position will require technical familiarity with creating software APIs for consumption by other eCommerce teams.

The Ford eCommerce platform is a global program that will enable consumers to shop and purchase vehicles online via a Ford-created and managed eCommerce experience. This is a very vibrant and growing organization and is a vital component of Ford’s growth strategy.

The position requires a strong EM background with experience leading successful teams delivering valuable products. Experience leading and participating in an Agile team is a must. Knowledge of SaFE Agile Framework is a plus.

The position has several technical requirements in addition to strong Engineering Management skills. It requires in-depth familiarity with Ford-specific systems dealing with vehicle product data, pricing systems and integrations with various authentication and authorization services. Experience with integrating Ford and public API responses and security systems is desired.

Minimum educational requirement is BS degree. Experience equivalent to BS in computer science would be acceptable as well.

Grooming the teams' backlog to ensure the most important and high-value features are prioritized.

Provide reporting to leadership on the status of the work and the value derived from completing the work.

Leading Agile ceremonies for backlog grooming, retrospectives, and PI Planning

Ensure the team prioritizes doing the work meeting to the highest standards of software craft.

Bachelors of Science degree or work experience equivalent to BS in computer science.
