Ford Motor Company Software/Hardware Interface Manager, Dealer Charging in Boston, Massachusetts

As a Software/Hardware Interface Manager, you’ll help Ford dealerships deliver a confidence-inspiring charging network that replaces range anxiety with peace of mind for all our guests. This high visibility role serves as a voice for both the dealerships and their customers, bringing innovative new features online in an effort to continuously improve the charging experience. Additionally, you’ll have the chance to aid Model e and its infrastructure partners by developing critical tools to help track installation progress. Responsibilities of Position:
Lead coordination for Model e dealer public charging: a platform that will enable dealerships to offer up their charging as asset to the EV community
Coordinate between customer experience, software, and hardware product teams to ensure the timely delivery of features for business, sales, support and success services
Conduct customer research to help continuously improve the dealership charging experience
Gather requirements and help define solutions for dealer-specific customer charging needs
Collaborate with business development leads on external partnerships
Support the Model e dealer charging installation program by informing the development of software solutions to assist with charging hardware rollout and implementation
Utilize project management and data visualization platforms to capture charging installation progress from site survey through commissioning
Build out online tools to gather feedback from dealers and installation partners
Engage with key 3 rd party stakeholders to ensure program needs are supported

Strong drive for results, commitment to quality and attention to detail
Strong oral and written communications (able to effectively assert point of view)\
Self-starter with ability to adapt to new customer learnings and incorporate into support strategy
Strong collaborator with ability to align teams on executable support strategy
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s Degree with a preference for Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
2+ years of experience with Business Development, Project Management, Technical Program Management, User Research, Engineering or Software Development
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong interest in electrification, energy, and sustainable mobility
Hands-on experience or understanding of public electric vehicle charging, especially in dealership settings
Experience with electric vehicle charge management systems or similar energy management platforms
Strong background in project management focusing on execution on deliverables
Ability to draw out requirements, dependencies, and next steps against milestone items to clarify tasks for stakeholders
Familiarity with user research / gauging customers and/or customer groups on feedback around software, hardware, messaging, etc.
Strong documentation and organization skills (delivering plans, meeting notes, aggregation of feedback, etc.) including coordinating teams, and managing and tracking requirement
