The Senior Sonographer is responsible for:
Performs routine and complex ultrasound examinations prescribed by a physician.
Procedures.
Assists in patient scheduling and facilitates efficient workflow within ultrasound area (board runner). Provides instruction for trainees and fellows.
Takes an active role in research projects involving ultrasound.
The Senior Sonographer must have:
Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
3 years of experience working as a Sonographer
Must be registered by the ARDMS.
Must be registered by the ARDMS. Must meet, successfully complete, and maintain the ARDMS certification and registration. ARDMS Pediatric certification preferred.
