VMware Sr Business Analyst - Opportunity for Working Remotely in Boston, Massachusetts

The Elevator Pitch: Why would I enjoy this new opportunity?

As a Business Process Management(BPM) Analyst, you will enable the identification and implementation of process and technology solutions to optimize business processes and customer experience by using various industry best practices, tools, and methods. You will have the opportunity to work with multiple cross-functional stakeholders and their teams to discover, model, analyze, measure, and re-engineer processes through a data and process-led approach. You would define the work methodology for process functions which encompasses Policies, procedures, technology, and controls for an efficient and effective process.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

Upon joining the BPM team, you will be working on various initiatives to drive a 15 % improvement in overall Quote velocity (i.e., from Quote creation to Order booking) for VMware. You will support strategic and tactical projects across various business functions to identify process level and cross-functional levers that would enable improved process synergy and operational efficiency across multiple teams spanning the Quote to Cash domain based on business priorities as defined by the stakeholders.

A Business Process Management Analyst must be detail-oriented, with a consistent track record of identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives. The role requires a high degree of cross-functional global interaction, demanding excellent communication skills. Should have strong project management, analytical, communication, influencing, and leadership skills to handle a variety of activities and complexities spanning the organization. You must be willing to work at both a tactical and strategic level. Applying the prior experience/skills associated with process excellence in high-tech/software industry business models and core processes.

Core responsibilities include;

  • Working on business process architecture, process performance measurement and management, standardization, and continuous optimization of the aligned business processes

  • Providing process and technology-oriented process optimization

  • Identification of process optimization opportunities via BPM tools and methodologies

  • Proactively identify avenues to increase the Business Process Management adoption and user groups across the enterprise - Collaborate with business partners and regional counterparts.

  • Driving quantifiable business outcome/ impact through BPM engagements

  • Implementing and utilizing Process Mining tools for data-driven business insights and opportunities

  • Researching process & recommend best practices to satisfy business needs; analyze the root cause and provide solutions agreeable to business stakeholders.

  • Identifying RPA opportunities within a business function and hosting workshops to discuss and prioritize such optimization opportunities

  • Mapping E2E Process using IBM Blueworks Live

Expected experience/skills:

  • Business process management and operational excellence experience, Consulting, SaaS operation, workshop facilitation

  • Experience driving large, cross-functional, and global process re-engineering and improvement initiatives (using process mining, design thinking, lean six sigma principles and concepts) with demonstrable business results

  • Certified in Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking, Google Sprint methodologies from a reputed company is asset.

  • Formal Training and Certification in process mining/data analysis tools like Celonis or UIPath Gold, power BI, Tableau, etc. will be an added advantage

Who is the hiring manager*? What is your background and management style? What is the structure of the team/organization I will be working with?

You will report to the Sr. Manager for the AMER BPM team with a dotted line reporting to project sponsors from various cross-function groups. Sr. Directors and VPs sponsor most projects, and they would need periodic updates on the project delivery.

Where is this role located?

We have a distributed team, and you will have the option to work remotely anywhere in US. Note: This is subject to the corporate guidelines applicable to the team.
