General Electric Sr. Finance Manager - Income Statement in Boston, Massachusetts
Job Description Summary
Responsible for leading the company level financial planning, reporting and analysis processes. The role will partner with all Segments to understand the business strategy, operational metrics, and translation into financial performance. The role works closely with business FP&A teams, investor relations, controllership, tax, VP FP&A and GE CFO. The candidate will additionally play a vital role in the leadership and execution of the Operational P&L Finance priority, as well as driving LEAN focused initiatives to simplify, automate, and eliminate inefficiency.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead planning, analysis, and reporting for the company income statement, including revenues, margin, earnings, and adjusted EPS
Own company level FP&A close, oversight of DRs, and preparation of executive reporting package with analytics / commentary
Own financial planning cycles to define requirements and associated reporting
Central role in partnering with investor relations during the earnings cycle, preparation of earnings slides, analysis, and cribs
Identify LEAN projects to drive standard work and continuous improvement of analytics through automation
Partner with business FP&A teams, investor relations, controllership, tax, VP FP&A and GE CFO
Provide direction and coaching to FMPs
Ad hoc analysis and support, such as CFO requests, Board of Directors analysis, and other Required Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of work experience Desired Characteristics
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Solid interpersonal and leadership skills, capable of driving consensus
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight timelines
Demonstrated strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to think critically and ask insightful questions
