Teradata Sr Manager, Procurement Operations and Third-Party Risk Management in Boston, Massachusetts

What You'll Do
The Indirect Procurement team’s mission is to support Teradata goals and objectives by providing best-in-class procurement services, transforming our procurement processes in order to increase efficiency, add value and deliver savings, optimize policies, and mitigate risk. We leverage our expertise and bring the right people together to make impactful decisions, find solutions and fearlessly prioritize to deliver, innovate, and grow.
Driving optimization and standardization of Procurement policies, processes, and programs while working closely with business stakeholders to assess, monitor, and mitigate risks associated with third party suppliers and partners.
Managing day to day operational activities of the Procurement Center of Excellence (COE) and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) functions, providing leadership and expertise to business stakeholders and team members
Leading cross-functional projects and teams to co-create, document, and operationalize a variety of Procurement transformational initiatives.
Train Procurement organization and business stakeholders on Procurement policies, processes, and programs
COE specific: Manage, co-create, and update Procurement policies, processes and SOPs, create and maintain enablement playbooks for core functions.
TPRM specific: Facilitate comprehensive third-party risk assessments; identifying potential risks and partnering with adjacent functions on risk mitigation actions.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate
Certified professional designations such as Certified Third-Party Risk Professional (CTPRP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), etc.)
Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Business Management. Master’s Degree preferred.
Co-create, lead, and manage procurement program transformation activities, including but not limited to, third party risk, ESG, preferred suppliers, data analytics, supplier strategies, savings methodologies and tracking, supplier relationship and performance management and contract lifecycle management,
Lead Teradata’s third-party risk management strategy and day-to-day operations, partnering with business stakeholders to develop and drive appropriate risk tolerance and mitigation.
Drive the ongoing design and improvement of global purchasing policies, programs, systems and reporting to ensure Sourcing and Procurement meets its commitments to the company and business stakeholders.
Drive strategy, implementation, and ongoing reporting of spend under management and preferred supplier program.
Lead efforts to ensure we have the best data possible to drive procurement analytics and insights.
Actively and consistently supports all efforts to provide a best-in-class Procurement Center of Excellence: simplify and enhance the customer experience, including but not limited to SharePoint and User Reference materials, effective communications, training, documented procedures, policies, and other reference materials.
Use best-in-class practices and market insights to drive and support the design and implementation of Teradata’s Third-Party Risk Management Framework for the Business Continuity Office.
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of third-party vendors to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities to Teradata.
Perform thorough due diligence on prospective third-party vendors to evaluate their reliability, security posture, and compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Implement ongoing monitoring mechanisms to track the performance of third-party vendors throughout the lifecycle of the relationship.
Develop and maintain incident response plans to address disruptions involving third party vendors, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, as necessary.
Conduct training sessions and awareness campaigns to educate employees on third party risk management, and procurement best practices and procedures.
Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on the status of third-party risk management activities, including identified risks, mitigation strategies, and compliance efforts.
Partner with other Business Continuity and function / business leaders to apply appropriate protocols and prevent third party risks.
Lead Teradata’s third-party risk management strategy and day-to-day operations, partnering with business stakeholders to develop and drive appropriate risk tolerance and mitigation.
Drive the ongoing design and improvement of global purchasing policies, programs, systems and reporting to ensure Sourcing and Procurement meets its commitments to the company and business stakeholders.

Experience leading and participating in cross functional re-engineering or process improvement efforts; including experience creating process diagrams, analyzing workflows, developing standard operating procedures, and reengineering business processes.
Expert knowledge of Business Architecture and cross functional knowledge of related business processes (IT, Accounts Payable, Finance and Business Functions)
Clear and solid understanding of procurement tool landscape and source-to-pay ERP environments.
Knowledge of procurement metrics/KPIs and advanced procurement data analytics.
Understanding of and experience with ESG topics as related to third party suppliers: Supplier Sustainability (carbon emissions, science-based reduction targets, net zero, etc.) and Supplier Diversity (certifications, supplier diversity councils, spend tracking, etc.),
Experience working on a global scale with a variety of cultures as well as coordination with global legal entities, regional financial controls, and government regulations.
Curious, results driven leadership skilled at developing high performance remote teams through collaboration, growth and accountability Strong program and project management skills.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other MS Office applications.
Outstanding written and verbal skills, interactive listening, and thoughtful interpretation to formulate potential outcomes and communicate complex concepts.

Minimum 8 years working in corporate, Procurement environment.
Minimum 8 years experience in third party risk management, business continuity, operational risk, operational resilience, or related role
Minimum 3 years experience leading or managing third party risk program, business continuity, operational risk, operational resilience, or related role.
Pay Rate: $118,300.00 - $147,900.00 - $177,500.00 Annually
