Amazon Sr. Product Marketing Manager, Security in Boston, Massachusetts

Description

Are you excited working with customers—including other AWS teams—securing their workloads and data? Are you an expert in workload protection or application security? Product Marketing is responsible for developing crisp, highly differentiated positioning and messaging for AWS and its services. We help AWS customers across industries and segments elevate their security using the industry’s broadest and deepest portfolio of cloud services and solutions. We tell AWS’s most important and interesting stories to educate customers about what is possible when you build securely on AWS.

Preference for this role to sit in Seattle, WA USA but this role may also sit in the following locations only: Boston, MA, USA | Atlanta, GA, USA | Santa Clara, CA, USA

Relocation offered to these US Corp office locations only from within the USA only.

Key job responsibilities

As a Sr. Product Marketing Manager for security, identity, and compliance, you will be part of a team tasked with:

  • Developing messaging and positioning that highlights how AWS services help customers secure their digital transformation.

  • Drive the success of AWS security initiatives like helping customers secure their applications early in the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

  • Work with product and sales teams creating compelling content to help customers understand use cases and value propositions

  • Support marketing campaigns that drive customer engagement and service adoption.

The ideal candidate has a passion for technology services and translating how technology can be used to secure an organization's data and workloads as they move to the cloud.

A day in the life

  • Drive understanding of application security messaging and positioning for AWS

  • Build use cases and solutions content

  • Develop compelling and strategic customer references, including deep dives on ROI from implementing cloud security strategies and models

  • Write compelling content and tools (eBooks, presentations, infographics, webinars, customer success stories, product videos, and more)

  • Develop and execute on innovative product marketing activities that reach target audiences effectively

  • Partner with other marketing teams (e.g., campaigns, demand generation, field, and event marketing) to drive and execute on global marketing initiatives

  • Continuously measure and optimize your product marketing initiatives

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience prior success in driving execution of large-scale project plans with multiple teams in support of business goals

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in fields such as technical marketing, technical pre-sales, or product marketing/management with a track record in crafting messaging and positioning

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, technology, or relevant field of study such as computer science OR 7+ years relevant industry experience in marketing of technical products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting

  • MBA and/or computer science, engineering, technology background

  • 5+ year’s experience in product marketing for security products

  • Experience with workload protection and/or application security technologies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
