This Staff Nurse will be responsible for:

  • Supporting patient care in our Outpatient Orthopaedic Clinic in Boston and satellite locations.

  • Partnering with interdisciplinary team in supporting 3 orthopaedic oncology practices.

  • Pre-clinic and conference preparation, attendance at clinic session, nursing assessment, patient and family education, anticipatory guidance, care coordination and follow-up care.

  • Answering phone calls related to patient issues/triage.

  • New patient intakes to assess care acuity prior to clinic visit.

  • Serving as a liaison between the interdisciplinary physician team, nurse practitioners, physical therapists and administrative staff.

  • Working collaboratively to provide family-centered care as a member of the interdisciplinary team.

  • Referring patients to community resources, develop relationships with ancillary services to assist in problem solving/facilitate patient access and patient care.

To qualify, you must have:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

  • 1-3 years nursing experience required in either oncology or orthopaedics, 3-5 years’ experience preferred.

  • Previous experience with pediatric complex-care patients preferred.

  • Excellent analytic, communication and organizational skills to resolve highly complex problems.

  • Ability to travel to satellite locations.

  • The ability to work 32 hours a week.
