Strategic Development Director

Do you have experience in project management and business development? The Strategic Development Director is responsible for supporting growth and development across multiple states. The roles focuses on planning, driving organic growth, managing census and billable units, and working with state and local stakeholders to execute initiatives like New Starts and tuck-ins to support expansion.

Planning & Development

  • Oversees strategic growth across multiple states, integrating growth initiatives with budget planning.

  • Monitors revenue, census, and billable units to identify areas for support, and work with local leaders to address declines and boost occupancy.

  • Collaborates with state and regional leaders to expand services and drive geographic and service line growth.

  • Lead and assist with the execution of core initiatives like New Starts.

  • Serves as a liaison with functional areas (QI, HR, etc.) to ensure that growth initiatives are supported.

External Relations

  • Builds and maintains relationships with payers, competition and other stakeholders.

  • Identifies growth opportunities by tracking industry trends and responding to payer needs.

  • Manage community relations and foster connections with state and regional government authorities and referral agencies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors level with 5 years of related experience. Master’s degree in Human services preferred.

  • Strong presentation skills, excellent communication skills, and well-developed problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tracking
