The Strategic Events Manager, LSIG plays a pivotal role in unifying Life Sciences Innovation Group (LSIG) Operating companies under a common vision of accelerating drug development processes by driving innovation and showcasing the collective impact of Danaher Life Science solutions in the Biopharmaceutical industry. This position will require 15% - 25% travel, including international.

Requirements for this position:The ideal candidate for the Strategic Events Manager, LSIG role should possess experience coordinating global, in-person, customer-facing events. This individual should have hands-on experience ideating and executing strategic events leveraging multiple product areas and/or Operating Companies. The candidate should showcase a demonstrated ability to foster connections across diverse organizations, and manage complex, matrixed projects and teams. Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential for fostering collaboration across Danaher Operating Company Marketing Groups, while simultaneously building strong internal and external relationships. The ideal candidate has relationships with conference managers, tradeshow houses, and Life Sciences demand generation team members. This individual will follow event best practices (strategy through execution) as established by the Danaher Tradeshow and Events Community of Practice and Life Sciences Innovation Group for the selection and execution of trade events.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and Manage Events: Oversee logistics for global Tier 1 & Tier 2 LSIG-led shows and Danaher Days, ensuring operating company alignment, stakeholder communication and action alignment, and successful on-site execution for Tier 1 events. Support Tier 2 conferences without on-site presence.

  • Ensure Timely and Budget-Friendly Delivery: Deliver events on time and within budget, managing projects from pre- to post-production with minimal supervision. Negotiate optimal event contracts.

  • Align Messaging and Brand Standards: Present cross operating company workflow stories in line with LSIG strategic workflows, ensuring operating company alignment and collaboration with the Brand team to meet Danaher brand standards.

  • Coordinate Event Promotion: Work with LSIG and Operating company marketing teams to determine and align event promotion materials and tactics to align with show messaging.

  • Track Metrics and Innovate: Establish and track metrics focused on budget, engagement, and satisfaction. Lead special projects, bring fresh ideas, and research industry trends to enhance customer value at events.

Education & Experience

  • 5+ Years of experience with tradeshows, events, and hospitality event management

  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification is preferred

  • Knowledge of the B2B or Life Sciences industry

  • Skilled in negotiating and managing suppliers and vendors

  • Experience in tracking budgets and reconciling expenses

    The salary range for this role is $120,000.00 - $135,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

    This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
