Position Summary

The Strategic Sales Advisor, Health Plan Sales Enablement role bring together knowledge of the PBM industry and its capabilities with an ability to serve as a consultative sales advisor across a range of regional health plans, supporting client growth and retention within their commercial markets .

The selected candidate will serve as a PBM Subject matter expert for Health Plan Commercial pharmacy strategies, advancing client market positioning including solutions to 1) recommend sales strategies and support integrated value proposition development, 2) collaborate with clients on competitive product solutions and pricing strategies, and 3) support RFP response activity on behalf of Health plan clients

The candidate needs to be seen as being a consultative client resource offering insights to competitive market strategies and capabilities as well as promoting the value of PBM solutions to advance client strategies in-market

The candidate will support development of annual market growth projections for PBM and HP clients inclusive of market analysis

The candidate will collaborate with clients to identify targeted retention and new employer growth opportunities within downstream commercial groups, leading to development of custom engagement strategies, in consultation with PBM HP account teams. he or she will understand and document support required by client, by renewal and/ or prospect opportunity, and work with internal partners to deliver requested support

In addition, the candidate will oversee PBM execution and maintenance of custom client pricing set up, working across various internal departments, and adhering to defined organizational and operational requirements. By working closely with the PBM business teams, the candidate will leverage PBM support financial modeling tools and reporting capabilities to advance client strategies.

Lastly the candidate will be asked to support health plan clients with RFP strategies and engagement with employer groups during finalist meetings

Required Qualifications

  • 8 – 10 years progressive experience in Healthcare in client management roles with an emphasis on client retention, business planning, project management, and the ability to identify and breakthrough barriers.

  • Experience with all facets of PBM Industry including operations, and pricing

  • Current or Prior Sales in PBM Sales

  • Self starter with the ability to think, work and execute independently and proactively within the company

  • Demonstrated ability of critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Ability to guide and influence teams without direct authority

  • Ability to think strategically and execute on action plans.

  • Strong communication skills with highly effective presentation capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strategic Marketing Experience

  • Process oriented with project management experience

  • Prior healthcare consulting experience

  • Group Medicare knowledge

EducationBachelor's Degree or related experience requirement

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$75,400.00 - $162,700.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
