Acxiom is looking for a new member to join our Supplier Inclusion Team. The Supplier Inclusion program strategically influences, manages, and develops supplier inclusion initiatives for Acxiom including identifying and forming alliances with suppliers who represent minority, disability, veteran, LGBTQ+ and women-owned businesses within the community and whose businesses support the Acxiom sourcing strategy.
KEy RESPONSIBLITIES - What you will do:
Partner with our Sourcing Leader to help set the strategy, develop goals, and deliver results that align to Acxiom’s and IPG’s social responsibility commitments
Recommend and help develop methodologies to increase global engagement with diverse suppliers
Identify diverse owned suppliers that meet sourcing requirements including cost, quality, and reliability with whom to establish strategic alliances
Execute against established goals, metrics, and mechanisms to deliver the supplier inclusion program goals and objectives
Collaborate with sourcing team, Acxiom leadership and suppliers to develop long-term, strategic, and mutually beneficial relationships. Provide input of diverse supplier options into renewals roadmap.
Encourage, influence, and support strategic suppliers to embed supplier diversity in their supply chain and measure (as Acxiom Tier 2)
Identify potential industry opportunities and relationships to further enhance Acxiom’s Tier 1 and 2 programs
Regularly report, monitor, and analyze supplier inclusion insights on utilization and performance driving accountability across business units
Gather perspectives and key insights from thought leaders in supplier and client organizations to incorporate into Acxiom strategy
Create opportunities to proactively expand diverse supplier partnerships to generate additional value for suppliers and economic impact to underserved communities
Collaborate with local, national, and global resources to ensure organizational alignment, efficient use of resources
Launch diverse supplier portal, survey, and continuous feedback loop
Partner with VMO to support automation for 360 supplier view
Partner closely with Marketing to include developing materials for internal and external audience including supplier events
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS – WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Undergraduate degree preferable in business, supply chain, finance, or related field
Minimum 5-7 years progressively responsible experience in sourcing, procurement and/or supplier management
Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods and practices related to purchasing and procurement
Comprehensive knowledge of supplier identification, validation, negotiation and relationship management processes and best practices
Experience developing and driving corporate improvement initiatives
Experience with driving cost reduction and other savings initiatives
Strong skills sourcing, procurement, and negotiations
Excellent analytical skills, including cost modeling
