Amazon Supply Chain Planning Manager, Amazon Robotics Supply Chain in Boston, Massachusetts

Supply Chain Planning Team Responsibilities:

Field Service Spares Planning and Deployment Spares Planning:

  • Daily management of field service demand supply planning, ensuring timely and accurate spares availability.

  • Optimization of deployment spares planning to streamline processes and meet service demands efficiently.

Inventory Excellence:

  • Establishment of metrics and measures to reduce surplus inventory within the broader RSC organization.

  • Driving the goal of achieving inventory excellence through innovative process and tool enhancements, ensuring optimal resource utilization.

Planning Systems Improvements:

  • Leveraging both existing and emerging ERP/Planning technologies to enhance the precision and efficiency of planning strategies.

  • Focusing on Advanced Planning Systems (APS) improvement/reimplementation to refine the overall planning process, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead the establishment of an inclusive culture within the Supply Chain Planning team.

  • Develop integrated demand and supply planning strategies for new and existing products, focusing on efficient inventory management.

  • Supervise performance metrics, promoting best practices to enhance overall team efficiency.

  • Drive process and tool improvements aligned with the team's strategic priorities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Field Service, Hardware Engineering, Logistics, Commodity Management, and Purchasing, to analyze and communicate the impacts of changes to the demand and supply plan.

  • Develop standardized operating procedures for integrated demand and supply planning processes, ensuring seamless alignment with new technology platforms.

  • Provide actionable recommendations for operational enhancements and identify key metrics/KPIs to measure impact.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field

  • 3+ years of supply chain experience

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with effective business communication, fostering collaboration internally and externally across all management levels and with peers.

  • Familiarity/experience with S&OP/IBP processes and proficiency in Advanced Planning Systems (APS) such as SAP HANA/Oracle Cloud, etc.

  • Advanced Excel knowledge, adept at utilizing various formulas, including Index match, simple xlookup, etc.

  • Demonstrated expertise in building front-end dashboard analytics tools like Tableau and PowerBI.

  • Basic understanding/experience with SQL queries and relational databases.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience working in a progressive, high growth, high change environment

  • MBA and/or Advanced Degree

  • APICS or Six Sigma Certification

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while prioritizing and managing multiple stakeholders, responsibilities, and delivering multiple first-of-their-kind programs with aggressive schedules.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $62,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $150,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
