Tax Senior Manager/Director - National Power

& Utilities Practice

KPMG has grown a National Power & Utilities

practice. The Power & Utilities

practice is a priority area for our firm and one of our fastest growing

industry segments. Members of our Power

& Utilies practice work in close conjunction with our industry and

geographic leadership teams. Our team

is focused on providing exceptional client service to clients in the industry. We do that by integrating all tax services on

each client engagement team. That means

you will be an integral part of a diverse and collaborative team.

KPMG is currently seeking a Tax Senior Manager /

Director to join our Business Tax Services (https://tax.kpmg.us/content/tax/en/index.html) practice.

Geography is flexible as our National team is spread throughout the country.

Responsibilities:

*

Lead compliance and

consulting engagements for complex vertically integrated utilities and other

clients in the Power & Utilities space

*

Assist with complex tax

accounting issues, including regulatory accounting issues

*

Drive discussions with

clients in the Power & Utilities and renewable energy space on items

affecting their business and provide tax advice and technical support for

conclusions

*

Be a part of a growing

team and industry, learning and sharing industry best practices across the

country

*

Work as part of a

dedicated team of experienced tax professional and achieve continued growth

*

Collaborate with other

tax service lines and industry leadership

*

Build, manage, direct,

and monitor multiple client engagements teams while maintaining active communication

with clients to manage expectations and help ensure client satisfaction

*

Lead, participate in and

contribute to market and business development activities external to the firm;

including; identifying and pursuing new potential client service opportunities

by collaborating with KPMG's Audit and Advisory practices

*

Assist in developing

training curriculum for the Power & Utilities practice, both internally and

externally

*

Play a key role in

growing KPMG's Power & Utilities practice, both locally and on a national

level

Qualifications:

*

Minimum of eight years

of focused tax experience in an accounting firm, organization, and/or law firm,

including prior work in the Power & Utilities sector

*

Bachelor's degree from

an accredited college/university and licensed CPA or J.D./LL.M.

*

Experience leading

multiple engagements and client service teams as well as developing and

mentoring staff within a collaborative team environment

*

Excellent written and

verbal communication skills with the ability to evaluate and articulate complex

information

*

Demonstrated track

record of business development with the ability to develop and maintain

existing internal and external client relationships and help build new

relationships with key targets
