SS&C Eze is seeking a Technical Communications Specialist to join the Technical Communications Team . SS&C Eze is a leading global provider of best-in-breed software solutions and technology services designed to maximize investment and operational alpha for the entire institutional investment process and community. About the Team:

The right person for this role on the Technical Communications team is extremely self-motivated, independent, and personable. You’ll join a dynamic team of technical writers responsible for producing and maintaining an expansive library of product documentation and user assistance content. A successful candidate will be able to learn, adapt flexibly, and excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while quickly understanding and effectively communicating complex technical concepts to multiple audiences.

Day to Day:

  • Research complex, unfamiliar technical concepts using multiple sources to develop, write, and deliver high-quality end-user product documentation resources that meet the shifting demands and deadlines of a rapid software release schedule, while adhering to internal style and format guidelines.

  • Collaborate with members of cross-functional and agile teams to gather product information and develop documentation resources such as help systems, release notes, knowledge bases, quick-start guides, installation guides, Wikis, and implementation guides.

  • Work with senior team members to determine the appropriate scope and schedule for documentation projects while adapting flexibly to unexpected changes and effectively prioritizing multiple tasks.

  • Gain expertise and documentation ownership of specific product areas.

  • Perform editorial reviews of team’s work before it’s made available internally or to clients.

Minimum Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree and 1 - 4 years of professional writing experience.

  • Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Superior time management, organization, research, analytical, and critical thinking, and investigative skills.

  • Solid understanding of computer software development, programming, and applications. (Relevant coursework or professional experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Design, or User Experience a plus.)

  • Familiarity with bug tracking, source control, and content management systems (e.g., Atlassian JIRA, Bitbucket (or git), Confluence, etc).

  • Solid understanding of HTML, XML, and CSS, including the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

  • Experience using authoring tools (such as MadCap Flare or Adobe RoboHelp).

  • Experience working in an agile environment.

  • High levels of motivation, independence, confidence and the ability to be personable, assertive, resourceful, and creative.

  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to multiple audiences

  • Ability to adapt flexibly to unexpected project scope and/or deadline changes

  • Ability to independently research, gather, and synthesize information in an ambiguous or unstructured environment
