In addition to all Research Assistant I duties:
Assist with planning specific research procedures, coordinating schedules of experiments and procedures
Develop and troubleshoot new techniques specific to the lab
Maintain accurate records of results and methodologies into a log of work performed
Compile and help analyze data, preparing charts, graphs, and results of studies
Demonstrate basic laboratory techniques to laboratory assistants and technicians, research fellows, residents and students
Contribute to the team within and between departments and organizations
Maintain laboratory accounts, order laboratory supplies, and ensure the laboratory is prepared and stocked for experiments
Act as a liaison between the lab and Environmental Health and Safety, prepare for safety inspections, and write/update safety protocols
Maintain animal inventory, complete animal husbandry tasks including genotyping, deliver treatments, and write/update animal protocols
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in STEM or Psychology with at least one year of relevant work experience
Analytical skills to resolve complex problems requiring the use of scientific, mathematical, or technical principles and in depth, experienced based knowledge.
Strong communication skills, both orally and written
