Position Summary: *The Massachusetts State Lottery Commission is seeking a full time Finance Fellow to join its Finance Department. This position will provide the successful candidate with an excellent opportunity to gain valuable, real world skills relevant to the operations of a state-run organization with exposure to Accounting, Finance, and professional development opportunities. *Primary Responsibilities: * Support finance department staff by proactively following up and ensuring proper documentation/deliverables are being received from the appropriate parties. * Provide support to business unit finance, accounts payable and operations teams. This includes data tracking and delivering relevant financial reporting/information. In addition, this role helps to ensure the validity and accuracy of all financial data related to specific business units. * Ensure accurate and consistent invoicing procedures are followed to help promote reliability across business units. This includes collaboratively compiling and maintaining a comprehensive and detailed tracking Excel documents for shared use by department members. * Provide support on special projects and create variety of ad-hoc reporting both for internal finance purposes as well as external/client requests. Financial report creation, analysis, and maintenance of a variety of reporting. Education and Background: * Candidates must be currently pursuing an undergraduate/graduate degree in Business Administration or Finance. * Strong interest in financial analysis related projects. Knowledge and Skills: * Must be proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). * Strong organizational skills and an ability to multitask are required as the incumbent will be forced to prioritize workflow to meet deadline driven projects in a fast-paced environment. * Interpersonal skills are required as the incumbent will interact with various company personnel, at all levels, as well as external partners. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong attention to detail. * As the incumbent is exposed to confidential financial results, the applicant should have a high degree of integrity and professionalism.
