Salary: $110,000 - $115,000

Pay Grade: 14

Job Summary

Job Summary:

The Unit Director (janitorial, Mail, Graphic, Record, Security, Landscaping) has a thorough knowledge of customer service, facility management, building maintenance practices, as well as the policies and values of the client. This position manages and coordinates the team that may oversee janitorial, mail services, reception, event planning, facility maintenance, space planning, and /or relocation/reconfiguration. The Department Manager will focus on the needs and requirements of the client in order to achieve extraordinary service practices and exceed client expectations, while working closely with end-users, as well as outside vendors and contractors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Achieve Budget/Financial Responsibilities

  • Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of financial data and statistics.

  • Controls expenses within area of responsibility.

  • Develops and recommends department operating budget and ensures that department operates within budget.

  • Evaluates and justifies supplies, equipment and purchases as needed.

Particular Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in written formal and oral presentations from hourly staff to CEO level.

  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities

  • Ability to maintain organization and control in an ever-changing environment

  • Must exhibit self initiative, accountability, flexible and good leadership skills as well as political savvy

  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of contract administration and office procedures

  • Must understand and conceptualize working knowledge of support services to meet established goals and objectives

  • Above-average time management skills

  • Must be proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
