Teradyne UR Ecommerce Marketplace Merchandiser in Boston, Massachusetts

As a UR Ecommerce Marketplace Merchandiser, you will play a vital role in optimizing the online shopping experience and driving sales for our marketplace. You will be responsible for curating and managing the product assortment in cooperation with the seller network, implementing effective merchandising strategies, and ensuring a seamless user experience. Your keen eye for detail, analytical mindset, and understanding of consumer behavior will contribute to the success of our marketplace and enhance customer satisfaction.

This is a remote position based in the US.

Responsibilities

  1. Product Assortment Curation:
  • Research, select, and curate products for the marketplace based on market trends, customer preferences, sales data analysis, and interaction with the seller network and ecosystem management.

  • Collaborate with various teams, including marketing, seller network and ecosystem management, to ensure the availability and relevance of product offerings.

  • Monitor inventory levels, identify slow-moving or discontinued products, and recommend necessary adjustments to maintain a well-balanced assortment.

    1. Merchandising Strategy:
  • Develop and execute effective merchandising strategies to optimize product presentation and enhance user engagement across all available channels.

  • Create attractive product displays, banners, and promotional areas to maximize product visibility and encourage conversions.

  • Implement cross-selling and upselling techniques to increase average order value and enhance the customer journey.

    1. User Experience Enhancement:
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the Marketplace user interface and navigation to ensure a seamless and intuitive customer experience.

  • Optimize search functionality, filters, and sorting options to facilitate product discovery and enhance usability.

  • Monitor and analyze user behavior, conversion rates, and other key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement actionable strategies.

  • Facilitate A/B testing, monitor conversion rate and optimize offer.

    1. Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Utilize web analytics tools and sales data to assess the performance of products, categories, and promotions.

  • Generate regular reports on key metrics, such as sales, conversion rates, and customer behavior, and provide actionable insights to relevant stakeholders.

  • Conduct competitive analysis and stay updated on industry trends to identify opportunities for growth and market differentiation.

    1. Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with various internal teams, such as marketing, product development, and customer support, to align merchandising strategies with broader business objectives.

  • Communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely product updates, stock availability, and resolve any related issues.

  • Stay up to date with product knowledge, industry best practices, and emerging trends in e-commerce merchandising and cobot automation.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years of proven experience as an Ecommerce Marketplace Merchandiser, or in a similar role within an e-commerce environment.

  • Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and webshop functionality.

  • Proficiency in web analytics tools and data analysis.

  • Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices.

  • Excellent visual merchandising and product presentation skills.

  • Familiarity with user experience design principles.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

  • Experience and interest in the newest merchandising techniques and technologies – ex. AI generated product information.
