Job Description

As part of the LEGO® Group’s strategic vision to transition from external media agencies to a robust in-house operation, we are seeking a Vice President of Global Media Activation.

This role will lead our ambitious agenda to in-house global search, programmatic advertising and biddable media ensuring a seamless and efficient evolution.

The ideal candidate will drive the standardization of media execution globally, lead innovative projects, and strengthen our partnerships with digital platforms globally.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and implement a global media strategy that aligns with the LEGO Group’s core business objectives, promoting consistency across various media channels and platforms

  • Lead the strategic transition to in-house digital media capabilities, integrating the latest technology and cultivating internal expertise to enhance our digital media operations

  • Own relationships with external media agencies, ensuring alignment with our in-house strategies and goals while leading the transition towards increased internal capabilities

  • Drive cost efficiency, superior data management, and optimal media performance

  • Ensure that our media strategies are agile, responsive, and aligned with the latest industry trends and consumer behaviors

  • Leverage advanced data analytics to deepen our understanding of shoppers behaviors, using insights to tailor media strategies that enhance shopper experiences and extend our reach

  • Champion experimentation and "test and learn” initiatives to drive media effectiveness and adaptability, encouraging a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the Global Media team and the broader M&C marketing organization

  • Oversee the management and strategic use of YouTube and other significant digital platforms to maximize content reach and engagement

  • Develop and maintain strong, strategic relationships with major media platforms, focusing on collaborative growth and enhanced media buying efficiencies.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

  • Extensive experience in a senior media management role, with a demonstrated history of leading media strategy at a global scale

  • In-depth knowledge of digital media, including expertise in search, biddable media, programmatic advertising, and social media platforms

  • Proven success in managing large-scale media transitions from external agencies to in-house processes

  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of motivating and leading a diverse team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Excellent analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to use data to inform decisions and drive strategic direction

  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively negotiating and building partnerships with key stakeholders and external partners
