This Writer will be responsible for:
Providing writing support for all Marketing & Communications projects, under the direction of the marketing department leadership and senior staff writers.
Writing and editing communications, within assigned beat areas, for a variety of vehicles which serve to engage key audiences – ultimately enhancing the reputation, brand and visibility of the hospital.
Writing and editing communications, within assigned beat areas, for a variety of vehicles that support the hospital’s goal of increasing patient volume to key strategic clinical departments.
Ensuring that all content is strategically sound, as well as scientifically, medically, and editorially accurate. Working to ensure all written materials are branded appropriately and are aligned with established strategic goals.
Providing research support for marketing communications department leadership and senior writing staff, as required.
Supporting the writing and editing needs of other functional areas in the department, as necessary.
Maintaining current knowledge of healthcare industry marketing writing practices, as well as current editing and publishing standards.
To qualify, you must have:
The knowledge of theories, principles and concepts typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree, and a minimum of 2 years related experience in journalism, marketing communications, publications, or related field.
Demonstrated writing skills required. Healthcare/Health related writing is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and verbal and written communication skills.
Strong technical skills, with the ability to develop proficiency in specific software programs as required.
