Fortive Corporation Receiver/Shipper in Boxborough, Massachusetts

Setra Systems is seeking a Shipper/Receiver to work in a high-volume shipping and receiving dock atmosphere. Due to the nature of the job, this person will be exposed to both hot and cold temperatures as the Receiver is responsible for unloading inventory deliveries. The ideal candidate pays close attention to details and understands the urgency of receiving in the inventory and shipping product out in a timely manner. The core hours for this position are 9am – 5:30pm, some flexibility may be required during certain times of the year, such as month-end.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive all incoming materials

  • Process incoming PO’s with JDE

  • Deliver MRO items to the appropriate area

  • Cross-check the packing slip vs what is delivered for accuracy

  • Assist in unloading trucks as needed

  • Responsible for 5S of the receiving dock

  • Assist domestic shipping

  • Process shipment using JDE, and shipping software (Pitney Bowes, UPS, FedEx, DHL)

  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Displays a high sense of urgency

  • Detail-oriented

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 0+ years’ Shipping/Receiving experience required

  • Proficient in computer skills such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

  • Capable of learning the software system (JDE) used to receive material and process shipment

  • Able to read and write English

  • Able to understand written and verbal instructions

  • Able to lift up to 30 pounds

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • 1+ years of Shipping/Receiving experience in a manufacturing company

  • Prior experience utilizing JD Edwards

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
