Brockton Hospital Medical Office RN in Bridgewater, Massachusetts

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of a physician, Practice Manager and/or Director of Nursing, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assisting the healthcare team with the care and management of patients during their visit.

Location: One Donald’s Way (Formerly 1 Compass Way) East Bridgewater, MA

Department: Urgent Care

This is a full-time flex position

  • The RN will perform professional administrative and clinical duties including but not limited to assessment, care, treatment, documentation, education and medication administration to maintain and support the office and to assure efficient patient flow through the office.

  • The RN will also assist the physician or other clinical staff with procedures, treatments, specimen collection and communication to patients.

    BASIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/APTITUDE/EXPERIENCE:

  • High level of initiative, independent judgment, and organizational skills.

  • Works with frequent interruptions and responds appropriately to unexpected situations.

  • Interprets a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule forms.

  • Uses appropriate judgment in communications and actions with patients, physicians, other associates, outside agencies and suppliers.

  • Demonstrates well-developed interpersonal skills to work in a fast paced environment involving interactions with associates, clients, and patients.

  • Shows ability to prioritize duties. Adjusts and revises workload as necessary in view of the changing needs of the department.

    Education/Experience/Licenses/Technical/Other:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing .

  • Experience ): One year medical office nurse experience preferred.

  • Certification/Licensure: Current MA Registered Nurse License. Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support ) certification

  • Software/Hardware: Microsoft office, Meditech experience preferred
