How you make a difference

The Rehabilitation Specialist plays a key role in empowering individuals with severe and persistent mental illness by leading impactful psychoeducational groups and therapeutic activities. You will guide participants through engaging programs tailored to their unique needs, fostering growth and recovery. As a critical part of the interdisciplinary treatment team, you will collaborate with other professionals to achieve measurable treatment goals, all while ensuring that documentation meets facility and accreditation standards. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing the quality of life and mental wellness for those you serve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plans and Conducts Group Sessions : Plans and facilitates daily groups, managing group processes and dynamics to maximize participation and positive outcomes for individuals served.

  • Accurate Documentation : Ensures timely, complete, and accurate documentation of services provided, maintaining consistency with professional standards, facility procedures, and departmental requirements.

  • Collaborates with Treatment Team : Works effectively with the multidisciplinary treatment team to provide coordinated care and support to individuals served.

  • Time Management : Manages time efficiently, ensuring the completion of assigned auxiliary support services and department tasks as scheduled.

  • Effective Communication and Support : Provides ongoing communication and support to individuals served, addressing their needs and facilitating their participation in recovery and therapeutic processes.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Preferred: Bachelors' degree from an accredited college or university in a human services field.

Experience:

  • Preferred: Experience in a mental health setting.
