Brockton Hospital Enterprise PACS Administrator in Brockton, Massachusetts

Position Summary:
Enterprise PACS Administrator (Senior Systems Business Analyst), in cooperation with Director of Radiology and the imaging informatics team, manages strategic, multi-departmental, multi-specialty imaging projects. Designs, implements and develops or enhances data and workflow solutions; setting and managing goals, timelines and objectives. Supports both IT and clinical business operations with budget modeling and planning, negotiating comprehensive capital expenditures, where appropriate. Serves as liaison between user, clinical and technical vendors, and IT, providing client-based consultative resources to departments and off site facilities.

Responsibilities:
Facilitates the creation and distribution of secure and confidential access groups.
Creation of policies and procedures regarding systems implementation and usage.
Plans, negotiates, coordinates and manages system implementations, upgrades and changes, for all imaging services.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/APTITUDE/EXPERIENCE:
Responsible for the integration of imaging, workflows, data streams from disparate service lines (Cardiology, Vascular, Radiology and other users of imaging services).
Strong emphasis on cardiology applications such as CVIS, digital ECG management and Echo lab.
Understanding of HL7 and DICOM standards.
Education/Experience/Licenses/Technical/Other:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, medical technology or related field or equivalent related experience.
Experience (Type & Length): 3 years’ experience to include project management.
Certification/Licensure:
Software/Hardware: CIIP preferred.
Other: Ability to work tactfully and effectively with team members, vendors and the user community.
