Position: Social Services Liaison Location: Mayor\'s Office Date Closed: Until Filled Position Type: Full Time / Benefited / Grant Funded Salary: \$75,000 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Oversee and manage Diversion to Care Grant. * Attend all mandated meetings and trainings related to the Diversion to Care Grant. * Work with the Finance Department on all budgeting and mandatory grant reporting required in relation to the Diversion to Care Grant. * Work with the Finance Department to complete necessary contracting documents and additional applications as deemed necessary. * Seek evidence-based practices following the completion of a community assessment to fulfill gaps in services that the Diversion to Care Grant will be able to meet in efforts to increase service delivery. * Work with public officials and agencies to ensure quality service delivery. * Form collaborative relationships with community groups, churches, businesses, nonprofits and other city departments to maintain efficiency and effective delivery of grant related services. * Complete mandatory weekly updates with the Director of Social Services. Additional tasks may be identified during the duration of this grant period and other duties as assigned. Some evening and weekend hours may be required. Position is fully funded by the Diversion to Care Grant, and employment is reliant on availability of these grant funds. Requirements: Education and Experience: Bachelor\'s Degree in human services or social work, with a background working with those who live with substance use and mental health. Preferred experience includes experience working on state and federal grants, budgeting and grant reporting, grant management, coordinating and convening community focus groups, leading trainings within the community, experience working with diverse community populations, experience facilitating groups and meetings, ability to work with a variety of stakeholders that have different needs and levels of readiness.
