LeMaitre Vascular Corporate Counsel - Exempt (Salaried) Position in Burlington MA, Massachusetts
The corporate counsel role, reporting to the general counsel, is responsible for providing general corporate legal support to a global, Nasdaq-listed medical device company based in Burlington, Massachusetts.
Job duties include commercial contracting, SEC filings, global subsidiary support, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, litigation management, employment, corporate compliance, data privacy, securities, financing and other general corporate matters. The corporate counsel will advise management in various departments, identifying risks and offering advice and alternatives to mitigate risk.
Education: Juris doctorate required
Functional Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in general corporate representation. Large law firm experience preferred.
Industry Experience: Specific industry experience is not required, though life science experience is preferred.
Computer Skills: Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel required.
Travel: Must be able to travel domestically and internationally when needed.
Schedule: Must be able to work in the office 5 days a week in Burlington, Massachusetts during core business hours.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to understand financial statements and calculations; ability to synthesize and analyze data.
Language Skills: Fluency in English. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization verbally and in writing.
